2010 Chardonnay Shines in the Yarra Valley

Almost text book growing conditions in the spring and summer has produced chardonnay of great concentration and intensity for 2010.  November was 5º warmer than average temperatures which was ideal for flowering.  Rainfall was less than average for most of the growing season however when it did rain, it arrived at the ideal times – at flowering and veraison – and seemingly whenever vineyards needed a drink.

All round chardonnay shines for 2010.  From fizz to dry whites and all the way from the Valley floor to the upper end of the Upper Yarra Valley, 2010 will see Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley with line, length, texture and very good volumes of flavour.
