Acacia Ridge is set in the beautiful Yarra Valley with outstanding views across rolling hills and distant blue mountains – a stunning ‘Fred Williams’ landscape! The property was planted in 1997. The original plan was to sell fruit to the larger wineries. This is still happening but because the fruit is of such a high standard, we decided to begin making our own wine. This was done under contract by specialist winemakers, local to the Valley. The grapes are slow ripening, small bunch clones, ensuring intensity of color and flavour. Irrigation is used to a minimum, to assist us in achieving high quality fruit. We have an impressive medal tally in 07, including our Chardonnay. Our silky smooth Cabernet Merlot which will surely excite your palate as will the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, released in September 2006 after selling out of the 2005 last Grape Grazing festival. The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc is also proving to be a big hit based on sales through our Cellar Door. We also have a stunning Shiraz.
The restored 1850s Miner’s hut officially opened in early 2006 as a unique Cellar Door outlet. We guarantee personal attention and information about our wine - as well as what's happening in the Yarra Valley generally.

| Groups are welcome. There are several BBQs available if you would like to cook your lunch while you enjoy the spectacular views and the full flavoured wines. If you have a group or would like to celebrate a party, sporting team function or a work gathering - we can arrange a delicous BBQ lunch with salads. Simply call us and we can arrange the rest. A great way to spend a day in the Yarra Valley without it costing you an arm and a leg! |
