Scenic route
Head towards the city for 5kms along the Tullamarine Freeway (43) before turning left onto the Western Ring Road (M80). Follow the signs to Greensborough. At the end of the freeway turn left and follow the signs to Hurstbridge (46) continuing past Diamond Creek.
At the Wattle Glen roundabout, turn right towards Kangaroo Ground taking the Kangaroo Ground-Wattle Glen Road (9). At the T intersection turn right (C728) then after a 100m turn left into the Eltham-Yarra Glen Road (C726) and continue all the way to the end. Turn right into Bell Street (B300) to take you into the town of Yarra Glen.
To get from Yarra Glen to Healesville turn left at the Healesville-Yarra Glen Road (C726) and carry on for a further 10km.
Freeway route
Take the Tullamarine Freeway towards the CBD. Veer left at Flemington Road, Parkville, which becomes Elliot Avenue, MacArthur Rd, Cemetery Rd, College Gr, Cemetery Rd East then finally Princes Rd – before entering the Eastern Freeway (83).
Take the Eastern Freeway (83) continue onto Eastlink. Exit at Ringwood Bypass, then left onto the Maroondah Highway. Follow this highway to Lilydale, a gateway to the Yarra Valley. |
